UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools
The Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of a school’s planning, policies, practice and ethos.
A rights-respecting school not only teaches about children's rights but also models rights and respect in maintaining relationships between teachers, parents and pupils.
Here at Knowsley both the staff and the children adhere to our school charter. We are currently working towards the RRSA Level 2 Award.
Healthy Schools Award
Knowsley Junior School is committed to promoting healthy attitudes and healthy life-styles across the school.
We have held the Healthy School Status since 2006 and the Tooth Friendly Award since 2008.
