governors

It is important to us at Knowsley Junior School that we have a diverse governing board, which is reflective of our school and local community. We will continue to consider how any new governor appointments will support the overall diversity of the governing body, to enable us to best serve our Knowsley Community. If you have any questions about the diversity of our governing body, we would be happy to answer any (in line with UK GDPR standards which protect individual identities).

In accordance with the governing body's instrument of government, any future appointments are determined by the existing governors. The parents of the school community are also asked to vote upon who they would like to be the school's parent governor.

Governor Diversity Data

We’re committed to improving the diversity of school governing boards.  We recognise the importance of diverse boards so that decisions are made robustly with input from people with a variety of lived experiences – as well as varied skills. It’s also vital that children see people of all backgrounds in board-level positions. Where we can, we try to find someone who can bring the skills our school needs alongside the diversity.
