Charity Events
At Knowsley Junior School we pride ourselves on creating a school ethos with community at its heart.
As part of this, we encourage children to get involved in fundraising activities for both local and international charities.
Thank you all for your support and generosity.
Have a look below at the wonderful charities we have supported so far this year.
Children in Need
It was all a little ‘Freaky Friday’ on this year’s Children in Need day, as pupils came to school dressed as teachers, and teachers as pupils. We donated £1 to dress up and enjoyed a number of activities, including a ‘Design the Perfect Teacher' competition.
We raised £582 for this year’s appeal.

Harvest Festival
Thank you to everyone who supported our Harvest celebration this year! Oldham Foodbank were immensely grateful for all of your kind donations.
Macmillan Coffee Afternoon
Year 3 held a coffee afternoon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. They baked their own cookies and cakes to sell and many families donated goods for our cake stalls. Friends and family were invited to join us for a drink and a chat before visiting their child's classroom to take a look at their learning. A big thank you to the Tesco store in Greenfield who donated teabags, coffee and milk to our event.
A wonderful afternoon was had by all and we raised £367!

Hits Radio Mission Christmas
This year, we joined Hits Radio Mission Christmas campaign to help thousands of disadvantaged children living in the region of Manchester. Over 200 brand new Christmas gifts were collected by the children in our school and donated to the Mission Christmas annual appeal.
Sports Relief
Sports Relief was a celebration of our sporting successes, with activities being led by Year 6 sports leaders. Together we raised £412.
